We at Mercer Renal Associates, P.A. believe our mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on an as-needed or preventative basis.  We have created a practice that we believe in and would choose for our own family members.




Dr. Afshin Hannani 









 Dr. Hannani completed his medical residency at Trenton Affiliated Hospitals in 1993 and spent one year as Chief Resident. He then went on to complete his nephrology fellowship at Medical College of Pennsylvania which he completed in 1996.  He is board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine.  He belongs to the American Medical Association, American Society of Nephrology, and the American Society of Hypertension.

Dr. Hannani offers care to patients at all levels of chronic kidney disease. Dr. Hannani is married with three sons. He is also fluent in Turkish and Farsi. He loves to hike and has two German Shephards.  




Donna Hannani, BSN, RN 









Donna and Dr. Hannani met at Helene Fuld Medical Center (Capital Health, Regional Campus) in 1990 when she was the Nurse Manager of the inpatient nephrology unit and Doc was a first-year resident.  They married in 1993 and have three sons.  Donna graduated from Mercer Medical Center School of Nursing in 1989 and began working at Helene Fuld as she was passionate about chronic kidney disease and peritoneal dialysis after her grandmother was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease and was a manual PD patient in 1987. Donna worked has worked in the areas of medical/surgical nursing, peritoneal dialysis, nephrology nursing, and cardiac step-down unit nursing.  She received her BSN from Jacksonville University in 2005.  Donna loves her family and her home.  Relaxing and being with her loved ones including her animals is her favorite thing to do.  She loves the beach and nature. Donna is the office manager and staff RN at Mercer Renal Associates. 



Taylor Wyszynski


 Taylor W. is our scribe.  You will often see her in the exam room with Dr. Hannani typing the notes of your visit.  She also is a great help to all of us when any help is needed with the phones, drug authorizations, etc.  She was a pharmacy technician and compounded medications.  Taylor's greatest joy in life is her two daughters.  Taylor is kind and compassionate and she is very thorough with her scribe role.  We are grateful to have her as a member of our work family.  She loves to do crafts, cook, and do things for others.  She loves crystals and astrology. Taylor graduated from Mercer County Community College with a Liberal Arts Degree and plans to pursue her education further.  She has so many interests she has not narrowed down a specific area to study yet!
